About LifeBits

We live in a world that is vastly different than the one that existed when a guy named Steve Sande was born in 1957. LifeBits is a first-hand, sometimes humorous, and always fascinating look at the impact of the incredible changes in technology and science during one person’s lifetime — told from the viewpoint of a techie who was a witness to it all.

Like most things here on Substack, you can read LifeBits for free — just subscribe and it will show up in your email inbox when a new post is published. Or get a paid subscription for $5 a month or $50 a year, and you get the added benefits of chatting with Steve online about your experiences with tech. Eventually there may be some articles or even video livestreams available only for paid subscribers, so consider throwing a few bucks in Steve’s direction so he can continue to support his tech hobbies…

Steve has written millions of words (ChatGPT estimates it at least 4.8 million…) for online publications, had a number of quickly-outdated tech books published, and currently writes Christian devotionals at Heaven On Wheels and documents journeys on Sande Travels with his wife of 46 years, Barb.
